Research FAQs

Do you do scientific research?

Good Question focuses on social science research in the sphere of human learning and development. This research is scientific, meaning our claims derive from evidence we observe. We do not conduct biological, medical, or physical science research (e.g., particle physics, etc.). We can help gather evidence to answer many research questions about how humans LEARN particle physics, however.

Does my project need research services or evaluation services?

It depends, and we offer both. Research services require you to use your data to "join in conversation" with the larger research field. Evaluation services typically report the progress and impact of a distinct project. However, different audiences find one or both acceptable, and many organizations allow for conflating the two.

Can you provide research services for a flat fee?

Yes! We work with almost any budget. Because we are a small business, we are flexible with what we offer. We often collaborate to build proposals.

Can you manage the IRB process for me?

Good Question Research cannot offer IRB review of our own at this time. Our staff are CITI certified for Social and Behavioral research and hold ourselves to a high ethical standard

We work with our partners to promote research projects through their own institutional review boards. Typically, this means that we establish an affiliated relationship (as individuals or as a group) with a university or larger partner, and then we can support the preparation and submission of consent forms for review.
